Great wide tyre

- Miles, 3 January, 2021

So far great tyre. Good to have a wide option for rougher local roads. Adds a bit more comfort to the road bike but without sacrificing grip or puncture resistance. Only ridden in the truly wet or ice so far and not been let down.

Pros & Cons

Wonderfully comfortable rides!

- Laura, 27 December, 2020

I had been riding on 23mm tires without too much tread for some time, after a few skids on the wet asphalt I went for some wider and more expensive tires. For me it is a big difference in comfort and sense of safety now that the grip is significantly better. Top tires!

Reliable Winter Training Tyre

- Mike, 23 December, 2020

After multiple punctures on new "3 season" tyres, I decided to go back to the old faithful 4 seasons - so far, so good :-) My expectations are that they will prove as reliable as they were in the past. Best price I could find was at Mantel - happy to continue to do business with them !

Top band

- John, 22 December, 2020

I have mounted the Conti Grand Prix 4 season on my commuter bike. I ride to work in all weathers! (about 5000 km per year) I changed the rear tire after more than 6500 km, no punctures whatsoever. The front tire now has 1100 km on it and the tread is still good. This tire has good rolling resistance and corners well, even in wet weather! So this tire is (indeed) suitable for all seasons. On my winter racing bike I also mounted the Conti Grand Prix 4 season. In short: a real top tire

- Bert, 20 December, 2020

28mm. Fitted as a winter tire, went without tools on Mavic Cosmic Carbon pro. Tire definitely rolls fine, plenty of grip on wet/dirty pavement but the GP5000 I use in summer (in dry weather) is still a noticeably different/ finer tire. I think you should buy this tire if puncture resistance and durability are at the top of your list.

Fab all year round easy fit tyre

- Wendy, 16 December, 2020

I looked at several different makes of tyre, but these seemed to be by far the best all round tyre for every season. They are also puncture resistant, offering more piece of mind and very easy to fit and great value. The black edition look great on my Ribble. I'm really pleased with this product. I would definitely recommend these tyres.

5 / 5

Top tires with great grip even in wet weather!

- Shannen, 14 December, 2020

The tires offer good roadholding especially when cornering. Only on sandy trails is it be careful when the grooves get full of sand (then the grip reduces until the tires have discharged the bulk of the sand themselves while riding). Furthermore, these tires (28mm) offer more riding comfort compared to my previous tires (23mm) of a different brand. To determine the puncture resistance, I have not done enough km yet but they feel very solid while replacing them (this was quite easy).

Pros & Cons

Easy to replace
Feel very solid and thick
Great driving comfort
Great grip also during wet conditions
Optimal roadholding in corners
Careful with sand (reduces grip)
Heavier tire

A true 4 season tyre

- James, 13 December, 2020

I've used these for a number of years now, my go to tyre. Commuting, training rides, wet, dry. Performs at 35 Deg C and also at -4C. Good grip in the wet, no issues to date, and good rolling in the dry. Easy to pup on and off if it's ever punctured. Managed 9 months on a tyre before started getting more regular punctures from sharp stones on back lanes, once worn too much. But that's just time to change.

5 / 5

Good safe tyres for winter.

- John, 12 December, 2020

Bought these tyres to cope with the slippery UK winter roads. Normally run on Gatorskins but not enough grip for winter use. My Ultrasport IIIs that came with my bike developed a gash so I replaced them with these in 25mm form. 3 / 5

Leakproof but not durable

- Niels, 25 November, 2020

The last two 4 season tires both needed replacement within 1800km, in both cases were missing pieces of rubber leaving the underlying casing visible. It looks like the rubber is not stuck firmly enough to the casing. In the picture you can see that a piece of rubber is missing while there is hardly any wear around that point. The photo is of a tire that has only been driven 1650 km, I put it on in mid-September. So for a tire costing over 40 euros, I find the durability disappointing. Puncture resistance on the other hand is very good.

Grippy, robust but harsh

- Steve, 18 November, 2020

Got these to replace my GP4/5000s as I was riding different roads during these work-from-home times and was getting few side wall punctures as we move into winter. Haven't had them too long but they are still grippy, they are definitely more robust but the price you pay is that they ride a lot harsher - you really feel the road surface it is anything other than billiard-table smooth. Obviously a bit more rolling resistance too. For me, this is a good trade off for the winter but will definitely swap back to the other tyres when we get back to summer!
