Detailed product description
(UST) Universal Standard for Tubeless. The rim is ready to be used without an inner tube. Rim tape is no longer required either. The UST concept improves traction, control, and comfort while also reducing drag and your chances of getting a flat.
(FORE) Stiffer and Stronger
Rather than drilling holes through the entire rim for the spokes, the holes have only been drilled on the inner portion of the rim, leaving the outside intact. This makes the rim considerably more durable and up to 20% stiffer, optimising power transfer.
Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto, the latest innovation when it comes to bearings by Mavic. The cartridge bearings have a double seal with an internal C3 clearance. The fixed spacing between the bearings prevents play.
(QRM+) Qualité de Roulements Mavic +
Our most demanding wheelsets. The industrial bearings have a double seal and combine low rolling resistance with easy adjustability.
SUP - Soudé Usiné Process
After bending the rims, they've been welded together. The joint has then been machined to ensure a smooth finish. A welded and machined rim is extremely strong, eliminates any brake judder, and offers supreme wheel balance.
(ISM 4D) Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions
An exclusive patented Mavic concept. ISM 4D reduces the overall weight without sacrificing durability. Quicker acceleration, more direct handling, and more compliant to imperfections in the road. The smooth spoke surface also enhances aerodynamics.
ISOPULSE - Optimal Energy Transfer
The spokes have been laced radially at the non-drive side and use a cross-2 pattern on the drive side to ensure optimal power transfer. On top of that, it creates a perfect balance in spoke tension between the left- and right side of the wheel.
(Maxtal) Light and Strong
Exclusive to Mavic: this specific aluminium alloy provides a better rigidity to weight ratio than a regular 6106 alloy.
(FTS-L)Force Transfer System Light
Reinforcement of key transmission components: the contact area between the pawl and the hub body is reinforced by 2 stainless steel inserts, which allows the use of a 100% aluminium hub body.
(UB Control) Unisé Brut Control
The brake surface has been created using high-precision CNC machining. This improves the bite of the brakes and reduces vibrations while braking.
