Turn by turn navigation
Thanks to the smart navigation functions you always arrive at your destination. The turn-by-turn directions are provided clearly both on-screen and with audio cues. If you accidentally miss a turn, the ELEMNT ROAM will make sure that you get back on track. The ELEMNT ROAM also gives you the option of navigating to the start point of a route or creating a route yourself based on a location on the map. It connects with satellite GPS, GLONASS, BDS or QZSS, so you'll have perfect satellite coverage no matter where you are in the world.
Readability
Wahoo has equipped the ELEMNT ROAM with a crystal clear, vibrant 2,7" colour screen, with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The rendering of the screen can be compared to that of an e-reader and gives you sharp resolution and clarity, even in the sun. The Gorilla Glass is super strong and crack-resistant. The built-in light meter measures outside light, adapting the screen's backlighting accordingly. So you can always see the screen well, and the battery is not unnecessarily depleted. With normal use the battery life is around 17 hours.
Waterproof
The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM is IPX7 water resistant, meaning it is protected against the worst weather conditions. Dropped in a puddle of water by accident? No problem. The ELEMNT ROAM keeps water out when submerged to at least 1 metre deep for 30 minutes.
Connectivity
Connectivity and ease of use is a top priority for Wahoo developers. The ELEMNT ROAM connects easily to your smartphone or Wahoo cycletrainer via bluetooth, or directly to the internet via the built-in WiFi receiver. In addition, the ROAM also features ANT+ connectivity. The buttons on the top and side of the ROAM allow you to easily scroll through all the menus on the ROAM. Once connected to the Wahoo ELEMNT App, you can easily adjust settings, configure training plans, link sensors and upload routes from Strava, Komoot or RideWithGPS. Plus, wirelessly save your ride history and automatically sync your workouts to your favourite training apps.
Livetrack and Strava Live Segments.
ROAM has plenty of smart features too. With Live Track your friends can easily follow you and you can see other Wahoo users appear on your map in real time. Are you receiving a call or an e-mail? Through pop-ups the ELEMNT ROAM can, if desired, show you all incoming messages. Also, the connection to Strava Live Segments ensures that you are always aware of segments near you.
Use the simple interface of your smartphone via the accompanying app to change your settings, to configure training schedules, and to connect sensors. Save your ride history easily and automatically sync your workouts with your favourite training apps.

Top deal!
Compared to second-hand offers, this really was a no-brainer. Especially considering the extra products you get with it. I am very satisfied with this navigation due to its easy use in conjunction with the elemnt app. The summit segment climb feature is really a must have. The only downside is the graphics are starting to look outdated anyway

Clear price/performance winner in the bundle
So far I have used a mobile phone holder on the handlebars with various apps, e.g. Komoot. Operation and resolution on the mobile phone are of course perfect, intuitive and familiar. However, the display is sometimes difficult to read. Battery life without power bank too. For these reasons, I decided to buy a bike computer after all. Here in the bundle, of course, with other practical functions such as cadence and exact speed. The display is easy to read, the battery life is also sufficient for longer tours (after approx. 8 hours I am at approx. 55%). The sensors are recognised perfectly and initial setup via the mobile phone app is very quick and easy. You don't have to struggle through the submenus on the ROAM for long. Very easy to operate while riding using the 3 main buttons. Submenus are sometimes a bit tricky, but you can do this either standing up or using your mobile phone - and both are rather rare after the initial setup anyway. Synchronisation of my Komoot routes via WiFi within seconds and then ready to go with 3 clicks on the device. After getting used to the somewhat old-fashioned graphics (it's not HD Google Maps), navigation is also very simple and accurate. GPS is sometimes a bit slow when there is a poor line of sight to the satellite (e.g. in the forest). I have already missed a turn as a result. Okay, briefly annoying, but you just turn around and cycle 10 metres back. The only thing that bothers me is that if the route is recalculated, only the "alternative route" is displayed - but no longer the actual route. So if, for example, you wanted to take a shortcut directly, you can no longer see where the actual route was and either have to guess or follow the new route to the point where they rejoin. However, you can only guess the point, as the old route is only displayed again from then on. All in all, however, I am absolutely satisfied with the device. It fits perfectly for my use and at a good €200 was an absolute price/performance winner here on offer. I therefore don't need the successor, which costs almost twice as much.

Everything you want from a GPS
I bought it because my Karoo2 gave up on me, and I was really amazed at how easy it was to use, whether to connect sensors, load a route or even zoom in on the map while driving.
