Very happy with the set, but had already discarded the instructions and after much searching discovered how to "convert" the pump to make it suitable for a presta valve. Ergo: unscrew the top all parts out (incl red part) and put everything back in reverse. Unfortunately no patience here, so already bought another pump in the meantime. Hopefully future buyers will benefit from this tip.
