In other words, this derailleur shifts smoothly and quietly, and has excellent durability. Locking pin not really needed

This is a very nice Deraileutr to set up and seems to have a good strong spring. But, I have changed 3 of these on different bikes in just a few weeks. They appear to be very vulnerable to jamming under a poor gear change by the user and then rendered unusable as they jam up and snap the locking pin rivet
