The SRAM Force + XX1 Mullet Upgrade Kit 12-speed groupset allows you to upgrade your gravel bike to electronic shifting with a wider gear range. With the SRAM AXS app, this AXS groupset is completely customisable. For example, you can choose synchronised or traditional shifting. You can also choose the functions of the buttons and connect additional devices to the system, such as a dropper post or a navigation system.
Through SRAM's Contact Point Adjustment, you can set how close the brake pads are to the disc brake, so you decide how fast your brake engages. The shifters can also be adjusted to your optimal cycling position, thanks to SRAM's Reach Adjust technology. This allows you to adjust how far the brake and shift levers are from your handlebars! The SRAM GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur supports cassettes with up to 50 or 52 teeth. This lets you conquer the steepest hills with ease with a single blade front.
Cassette
The SRAM XX1 Eagle XG-1299 12 speed cassette is largely CNC turned and milled from a single piece of steel. Only the largest chainring is made of aluminium. This construction has allowed SRAM to make the cassette very light without compromising on strength and durability.
Back derailleur
The construction of this SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS rear derailleur incorporates a lot of carbon. This makes the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS rear derailleur not only very light, but also very stiff. This extra stiffness makes shifting with this derailleur extra fast and smooth. The cassettes on which this derailleur works best are SRAM's own X-Dome cassettes. These cassettes are designed to best support the functionality of the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS rear derailleur.
Rotors
This SRAM Force eTap AXS shift-brake system features hydraulic disc brakes. This not only makes braking easier as you don't have to squeeze your lever as far, but the disc brake also ensures that you maintain optimal braking power in worse weather conditions. These hydraulic disc brakes work with oil pressure, which ensures that pressing the lever has an immediate effect on the caliper, unlike a cable. This makes braking smoother, and more controllable.
Compatibility
This derailleur does not only work with a SRAM Eagle AXS shifter. In fact, the AXS line is designed to have interchangeability. So you can also use SRAM Red AXS or SRAM Force AXS shifters to control this derailleur. You do still need a SRAM X-Dome 12 speed cassette and Eagle 12 speed chain with this combination.

AXS Connect technology
The SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain is completely customisable with the SRAM AXS app. For example, you can choose synchronised or traditional shifting. You can also choose the functions of the buttons and connect additional devices to the system, such as a dropper post or a navigation system.
Overload-Clutch
The SRAM GX Eagle AXS derailleur comes with an Overload-Clutch. This is an inventive system from SRAM that ensures that the rear derailleur is less likely to break in the event of a crash. This clutch works like a spring. If you fall and your bike lands on the derailleur, this system 'springs' along to prevent greater damage!
