SRAM Aluminium & Quiet Disc Brake Pads

The Sram Aluminium & Quiet are brake pads with an organic compound and an aluminium backplate. Organic brake pads consist of soft materials. These brake pads therefore provide excellent dosage and braking power. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise while riding.
These brake pads are placed on an aluminium backplate, which makes them lighter than brake pads with a steel backplate. The heat dissipation is also better with an aluminium backplate.
Organic brake pads are less resistant to higher temperatures than (Semi-)Metallic brake pads. The aluminium backplate improves these characteristics so that these pads can be used well in the Netherlands or in hilly terrain.
In short, if you use your bike mainly in the summer and mainly cycle in the Netherlands or in hilly terrain, then these organic brake pads are the perfect choice. However, if you use your bike mainly in the winter, or go to mountainous areas, then you should go for Semi-Metallic or Metallic brake pads.

Manufacturers use different fits. So make sure the shape of the brake pad shown in the picture matches your current brake pad. It is essential that you break in your brake pads after fitting them. This has many benefits. Breaking in the pads makes them last longer, brake better and squeak less.
