The extra 11th gear and numerous other improvements combined ensure a overwhelming performance standard. When you ride Dura Ace, you’re riding to win! The complete set weighs 1978g, which is 90g less than the old 10-speed 7900 Dura Ace groupset. Other improvements other than the 11th gear are reduced lever strokes, newly designed front and rear derailleurs with different cable routing and polymer-coated cables. The 4-armed crank set is also remarkable. According to Shimano this optimizes the power transfer during pedaling and also makes the groupset stiffer.
The 11-speed cassette is 2mm wider than the old 10-speed group. The thickness of the sprocket is the same, the spacers are a bit narrower. Do make sure your wheelset is suitable for an 11-speed cassette.
The brakes are newly designed. It is all about the double pivot braking, which means there are two pedal pivots. According to Shimano these brakes have better control and braking power.

Great groupset
Works fine, rapid and smooth, light and nice. Only nine star because the necessity to have a special combination of chain rings, mixing is not allowed (53-39, 52-36...) is annoying. This is probably the price to pay to have a fast shift but that's annoying. Great price and great service from Mantel.

Rien n'egale le Dura Ace... RIEN ! Pas la peine de faire l'inventaire des marques quintentent mais ne parviennent pas a l'egaler. Confort absolu, souplesse, fiabilité.... Pour ma part, le mecanique est plus destoné aux coureurs... Plus fiabl, et plus dicret pour changer de braquet sans s'annoncer.. Lol
