Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • The cut-out reduces pressure on the perineum and makes long rides more comfortable.
  • The cleverly designed carbon saddle shell offers excellent stiffness without compromising on comfort.
  • Weighing 171 grams, this saddle is very light.
  • Provided that the saddle is properly adjusted, the cut-out relieves pressure and helps to prevent saddle soreness.
  • As this is a relatively hard saddle, it is less suitable for cyclists who ride fewer than three times a week.

The best saddle, but not for everyone!

- Giuliano 13 April 2026

That's it! I would have liked to try this saddle, the most beautiful of all, and apparently the most comfortable when it suits you... but unfortunately I had to face the facts: its difficult adjustment and irritation problems discouraged me. I have 116mm pins and tried both versions. In 145mm it was too wide and the edge of the seat hit the back of my thighs causing irritation with the seams of my shorts pulling. At 130mm it was much better, but at the slightest unconscious change of position towards the front I found myself on a part that was too narrow, my ischials being less supported vertically, and there it was my adductors that had problems. Not to mention its shape, which doesn't allow much room for adjustment. If you adjust it to 0°, the nose can become a problem for your anatomy, and if you tilt it down, you can slip... In short, it's a magnificent saddle, but adjusting it becomes a headache if, like me, you have a very anteverted pelvis and, depending on the angle and how far back you go, you can solve one problem but find another. I ended up getting discouraged with this SLR, much to my disappointment... I can only hope that a new Flite with a wider recess will come out soon, which will meet all my needs.
