Totally happy with product

- Eric, 17 March, 2022

Factory settings of flywheel is not as expected. Without using Tacx's app, it pedals very heavily. With application of app it is fine, but this does force the buyer to subscribe. This does not come across as fair

Pros & Cons

Arrived neatly packaged
Easy to assemble
Good user manual is missing.
Had to look everything up on the internet

Particularly pleasant trainer

- Marco, 11 February, 2022

I had a bushido and because the wheel skidded, it did not give a nice training experience at all ... with the flux that is history... it is also whisper quiet

Pros & Cons

Quietly lifelike and stable

Great device for indoor training

- Gerard, 6 February, 2022

Should brake a bit more on steep slopes. I don't need my lightest gear at 12% hills. Then I ride e.g. 7 km/h with a cadence of 90 rpm but on the 21 behind. Maybe a matter of calibration? Otherwise, it rides very true to nature and the trainer is very quiet. You can safely use it in a noisy flat I think.

Pros & Cons

1 month free Zwift and one month Tacx premium.
easy to use
no special rear tyre required
quiet
Takes up little space
not very stable when sprinting
Should brake even more on steep hills.

Great device for winterising

- Ernie, 24 January, 2022

Tacx is addictive, especially with the software you can use (30 days free) Swift I have yet to try, but I like the first introduction to a smarttrainer. Only drawback was the delivery time of the microspline body (and its price)

Pros & Cons

1500 watts is really enough, you don't kick that away.
Compact
Silent
Compulsory subscription
No standard Microspline Body

Paying more attention to ict and offering an installation service.

- Arno, 27 December, 2021

Struggled considerably with ict installation. Bluetooth 4.0 appears to be minimum requirement. Tracx Ant+ Dongle bought but worked evemin on me laptop. Finally opted for installation on ipad with Rouvy app. Finally it works.

Sample setup
No consideration for peripherals
No installation service

fine, but outdoor cycling remains much nicer

- Arjan, 18 February, 2021

Very nice device, very stable. The software from tacx is fairly sparse in my opinion. many videos are just aerial shots from google maps. does what it should do, make you sweat like an ox.

Fine trainer and good service Mantel

- Edwin, 28 September, 2020

Purchased almost two years ago and enjoyed it a lot, it worked perfectly, including pairing with sensors, tablet and phone, until after almost two years it started making noise while cycling. I was able to return it to Mantel just within the warranty period and two weeks later received the message that I will get a new device as soon as it is back in stock. Expect to get it in with two weeks so I can use it properly again now that the weather outside is starting to get worse. Hope the problem is fixed in the new range. Happy with service from Mantel and Tacx!

Pros & Cons

Connection to peripherals
Stable device partly due to its weight
Suitable for disc brake and long cage
Very quiet when functioning properly

Correct

- Marta, 20 September, 2020

My previous trainer was very simple, so with this one I have noticed a big change. It allows me to do intense workouts and enjoy cycling at home when I can't go out. The cassette needs to be purchased separately.

Pros & Cons

Easy to use
Quiet
Difficult to transport

Decent entry level Smart Trainer

- Ade, 2 June, 2020

Out of the box it's pretty easy to set up - 2 bolts to secure the legs and plug in the power (UK Adaptor required). Annoyingly it didn't come with the front wheel support which I had to order extra, along with the Ant+ USB antenna to run on my laptop. (Rear Cassette and thru Adaptors are extra too of course) A shame the legs don't fold and there's no handle so can be awkward to manhandle around as it's pretty weighty. I have a fractured wrist from covid Lockdown cycling accident (hence the purchase) so once set in place it pretty much stays put. Fairly quiet in operation. Had an issue after about a week or two of use whereby I couldn't receive values from the trainer to any devices (Zwift, Rouvy TacX Training etc). Managed to eventually connect via Tacx Utility on IOS and do a fIrmware update which seemed to fix the issue. So far so good! 8/10 Mantel shopping experience has been faultless and informative from start to finish 10/10

Pros & Cons

Fairly Quiet
Good Entry Level Virtual Riding Experience
Solid Design & Construction
No Carry Handle
No Extras Included
No Folding Legs
