Wonderfully light, sleek wheels.

- Frank, 10 September, 2025

Lovely light, sleek wheels. Noticeable difference from my previous DT Swiss alu wheels. Attractively priced due to temporary offer (due to arrival of new version). But still a lot of money of course...

When in doubt, order!

- Sidrick, 10 April, 2025

After long hesitation I did order these rims, purely because I wanted more stability at high speed than the standard aluminium wheels. Was also a bit worried that I would suffer a lot from side winds but that is not a problem at all. The wheels roll super, nice and stable and efficient. The speed is more mental and physical than going faster because of the wheels. Do notice that at higher speeds the wheels do roll easier. So if you often cycle above 35km/h, it will really improve your speed. And what I personally like is that you no longer need a bell. So if you have doubts but you have the money I would definitely recommend them.

Pros & Cons

Efficient transmission of power
Noise
Stiffness
Tubeless was not a success, tyres went flat

No excuse.

- Maxime, 20 August, 2024

After long hesitation, I decided to buy a set from Scope. Why the R4 and not the R5: slightly higher rims are only useful when the speed is very high and they are more sensitive to side winds. As I regularly ride in the Flemish Ardennes, the R4 is the perfect choice, even cobblestones are easier to digest. I put 32 tyres on it, which offer a lot of conformity but little rolling resistance. With tyres on, the rim still looks very high so looks nice. After first ride I immediately noticed the difference from the standard alu wheels that used to be on it. Tip: I put gravel tyres on my old wheels, so you get two for the price of one. The Scope wheels cut much sharper in corners and react much more directly when you want to shift gears. Ideal for demoing! You not only feel you're going faster but you're actually going faster. The ratchet is nice and loud, but it can easily be made quieter by lubricating it, which I am certainly not going to do! Why Scope a no other top brands? You're investing in an innovative local company. And for similar specs you won't find wheels at this price and looking this nice. No excuse.

After long hesitation, I decided to buy a set from Scope. Why the R4 and not the R5: slightly higher rims are only useful when the speed is very high and are more sensitive in crosswinds. Scope R4 ' Best of both worlds'

- Nordin, 16 August, 2024

I had been looking to upgrade my old wheels (Bontrager elite) for several months and after a lot of research I ended up with Scope wheels. I was hesitating between the R4 and the R5 but am very happy with my choice. - The R4 wheels are light and aerodynamic. Perfect for Dutch roads but light enough to get up a hill well; - Fitting the wheels was smooth and easy; - Steering is sharp and precise and you are not bothered by the wind despite the high rims; - The 'hub sound' is really great, you have to love it; - The R4 scope wheels look great under my Emonda SL6 pro.

Pros & Cons

Dutch manufacturing
Great hub sound

Beautiful and fast wheelset

- Robin, 28 April, 2022

These wheels are the ideal overall picture: looks, sound and quality. Most importantly, of course, they roll very smoothly and are aerodynamic. They really make you a bit faster. An advantage for me is that they also have a great rattle. And I really like the dark decals. Ridden about 2500km on them now in 2 months and am very happy with them.

Pros & Cons

Aerodynamic
Smooth rolling

Beautiful wheels that make any bike better.

- Reinoud, 4 March, 2022

Rigid wheels of 45 mm height. Purchased in August 2021. Ideal for my fast group rides in the Netherlands, but also great for the hills and mountains. The wheels with black decals and skinwall Conti GP 5000 25 mm outer tires with latex tubes inside look great in my Scott Foil and roll, in a word, great. These wheels make any bike better.

Pros & Cons

30-day trial, 3-year warranty

Super tight, super fast

- Atze, 10 February, 2022

I notice very clear difference from the original wheels on my bike. It is very tight on the road, especially with wind and cornering, but also with side winds. Disadvantage: tires are difficult to change, several brands are very tight around them.

Pros & Cons

Fast
Light

Nice light aero wheels!

- Martijn, 8 February, 2022

Been using the wheels for a while now as a nice upgrade to a stock aluminimum set. Despite the high rim, they are quite a bit lighter than the previous set; with crosswinds you sometimes still feel like you have a tailwind. The wheels feel very firm, which results in more direct steering. The freehub also sounds nice and loud so that a bell on the bike is almost superfluous.

Pros & Cons

Aerodynamic
Light
Loud freehub sound
