Trial run with new Schwalbers

- Willem, 13 February, 2025

Fitted this tyre on the rear and the Ultrabite on the front for more traction while handlebars, bars. am now a few hundred kilometres on the road and like it as long as it doesn't get muddy. Traction is good on unpaved and gravel roads but less so on grass and in loose sand.

Pros & Cons

Low hand pressure
Mounting is smooth
Price
Runs smoother on asphalt
Seem very puncture-resistant
Little traction in mud

Great band!

- Remco, 31 December, 2024

This tyre offers great traction on softer (forest) surfaces and also has low rolling resistance on asphalt pavement. I dare to cut corners a bit harder now....

Pros & Cons

great traction on softer surfaces
looks good

Excellent grip and comfort, very satisfied.

- Thomas, 4 September, 2024

I am very satisfied with the Schwalbe G-One Gravel tyres. They offer excellent grip on both loose gravel and hard surfaces. The tyres roll smoothly and give great confidence, even when cornering. They also provide extra comfort on longer rides thanks to the larger air volume. Perfect choice for those seeking versatility and performance on gravel roads.

Pros & Cons

Easily installed
Great grip on gravel
Rolls well on asphalt

Nice combination of grip and speed

- Tim, 3 May, 2024

Very fine and nice tyre, more grip than expected (use the tyre on the front of the bike) Goes well through loose sand at speed. Little resistance on the road too. rolls lightly. Fitted this tyre on a 29-inch mountain bike rim. At first had trouble getting it to run nice and straight, had a wobble in it. Later was able to adjust. Maybe this had to do with my rim not being tubeless ready (rim tape gets in the way). Rolling resistance seems very low, is fast both on forest ground with sand and on the road.

Pros & Cons

Little resistance
Looks good
Very high grip for profile
Alignment with rim

An ideal gravel tyre for the lowlands

- Marcel, 22 August, 2023

The Bite version rides fine over sand, gravel and forest trails. Even if it's a bit wet. Obviously not as much grip as higher-profile tyres that lean more towards mountain bike tyres, but in return you roll much easier over semi-paved stretches which much of a gravel ride often consists of. Again, I chose 40 mm tyre thickness because of its ideal balance between comfort and speed.

Pros & Cons

Beautiful skinwall
Enough grip
Fast tyre
