Reviews over the
Schwalbe Aerothan Endurance Race

Without the bad valve cores, this would be a top product
I have been riding with these inner tubes for over a year and had not had any punctures until recently. After one puncture, I replaced it, but it was flat again with a month. Can happen. But now, when inflating with my new SKS bicycle pump, I have the valve core lying out every time. It comes loose when loosening the pump head. Not really pleasant, I just hope this doesn't happen to me somewhere along the way. I will now glue them on with loctite or replace them with Schwalbe's clik valves

Good concept, mediocre quality.
Fantastic inner tube for cyclo-cross bikes, provided you find a good one.... Unfortunately, good ones are rare. Most lose pressure quickly. Small holes in the tyre, ex-factory, are more the rule than the exception. Schwalbe needs to get the quality right to justify the high price.

Nice product with minor flaw.
Already bought the Aerothan several times. Great product, but the valve is a weak point. I have 1 tyre that is completely flat after 2 weeks. In my opinion, this is due to the valve. Core came loose when inflating after installation and my impression is that it still does not seal properly.

TPU hose with quality problems
The hose performance valve releases when pumping and gets pressure loss immediately. The thread of the valve cone is too poor so it slips. You glue the valve cone in place to make it to hold. Very poor quality of Schwalbe, which belongs to the premium segment of the cycling world.

Almost the feel of latex inner tube.
Rolls almost as light as latex, but holds air better (less refilling). First ride immediately punctured. On returning home, it was hard to find the flat; at 0.3 bar (loose inner tube) the hole was simply closed! Only found at about 1 bar. Due to bad reviews of the Schwalbe 'stickers', stuck with Tubolito adhesive set. Costs more time, but for now it holds up well.

Good lightweight tubes but valve stem has serious design fault
Tubes are easy to install. Unfortunately the valve stem is very weak and so one time when removing the pump the valve core came with it - note that the valve core ripped right out, not that it unscrewed. This obviously results in an immediate and total loss of pressure. While the valve stem did screw back in, I am concerned that hitting a bump at speed and the pressure shock could cause the valve core to pop out again. It’s annoying when it happens when inflating the tyre, potentially catastrophic if it happens while riding.

Expensive tyre but valve does not hold.
Interior valve, unusable tyres as a result, despite pleasant driving experience.

Lightweight inner tube with good puncture protection and great riding feel.
I ride the tube on all my aluminium and carbon LRS. They are light, easy to fit and give a perfect ride feel.

affordable weight saving
Bought out of curiosity. Are a good investment to save weight cheaply ipv light wheelset.
