Pro User Diamant FG2

Top-of-the-range bike carrier for enduro bikes. Accepts wide tyres and wide frames. I was blown away by its quality, its design and the quality of the materials used. Compared to a major brand of bike carrier costing twice as much, and whose name I won't mention, it deserves to be at the top of the range.

The bike carrier is easy to install. Within 10 minutes, the bikes are in place and you are on your way. Bikes are very stable and can also be locked.

This carrier is quicker to assemble than our old one, which had to be tightened with a 110 nm set screw using a torque spanner and at the same time had to be held with the other hand. This carrier is assembled with one hand, which is much more comfortable.

As already written, very easy to assemble and attach the wheels. The carrier is easy to fold up for storage. The build quality is also ok.

Well-protected retaining straps to prevent damage to the frame and rims. Except for the mounting arms on the grab rail, it is comparable to the Thule Epos 2 at half the price!

The Pro-User Diamant FG2 is a reliable bike carrier that can be folded for relatively compact storage. The tilt function is also very handy. The carrier sits securely on the tow bar. Our 2 Flyer Gotour6 bikes can be transported with confidence using the carrier.

Pros & Cons

After some time spent getting the bikes into the right position (the frame fixings have to rotate to be moved) and fearing that they wouldn't fit, the first use was trouble-free.

For our beach cruisers with tyres 100mm thick and a wheelbase of 1300mm, it took a while to find a suitable carrier because our new car also had an RMC tow bar (only carry not tow, it comes in 5 variants and has extra pins on the ball each time). I found about three, of which this one is the cheapest. Quality seems as good and sturdy as our previous model from Thule. This is foldable, the frame is secured with straps instead of clamps and therefore causes less damage and the chutes are compatible with tyres up to 82 mm but our 100 mm tyres are no problem either. delivery was very quick so I am a satisfied customer.
