I recommend it to everyone. Small but fine
Easy to read
Pros & Cons

Small but nice!
Quick commissioning with immediate sensor recognition. The mounts, with or without a bar, are reliable, nothing wobbles! A metal mount would be more helpful, as these can be damaged more quickly in the event of a fall. Data such as temperatures and altitude are consistent. All in all, the purchase was at a fair price!

Clear buy recommendation, much more is not possible !
The most important purchase criterion was actually the stated battery life. It seems that this can actually be achieved. After several other navigation devices, the Edge 830 immediately convinces in all respects! It is quite annoying when the navigation device gives up far too early on longer tours with the racing bike because the battery is empty (previously 100 % charged!). Yes, of course you can take a power bank with you, but what else do you have to carry around.....? Here, the rider is sure to give up first before the navigation system gives up!

Meets our stated goals and requirements.
The Edge 830 is the replacement for my Edge 705 which I used gratefully from 2008. A world of difference and for my activities. Heart rate and candance meter (ANT) found instantly. Used on Race, ATB and E-bike. Of course it takes some getting used to all the newer applications. Fun to discover. Also bought one for my wife and she too is happy with it.

Exactly what I was looking for
Very handy, clearly visible, easy connection with phone the only thing is that if you go off route it takes a while for it to re-route

Optimal size and good display
Have only been using the Garmin Edge830 for a short time, but compared to the Garmin Edge1000 it's a great device with cool new features.

perfect product for people who are serious about cycling
i first had a garmin 520 plus but due to the buttons no longer working properly i decided to buy a garmin 830 the best purchase of this year so far i myself wear glasses on sharpness and very strong sharpness in the reviews it said maybe what a small screen for the less sighted i myself don't suffer from that while i cycle with an oakley without strength short keep a FANTASTIC product, the delivery was perfect I ordered it a few seconds after 10 p.m. and it still arrived the next day only a pity the delivery time was in the evening but that's something mantle can't do anything about it

Great
Had the 820 before this did not last very long. This one just keeps going. Truly a top notch device. So good that I can dissuade anyone from buying a more expensive version. The 830 is already top more you really don't need.

A very nice companion during my bike rides.
Very nice bike computer to perform my workouts with. Shows the route clearly, climbpro. Clear screen and very good battery life. Also the integration with Strava is ideal. Even before I get in, my ride is already uploaded to Garmin and directly to Strava.

Fine and good navigation
I find it a very nice navigation system. First I used the edge 800 and now I have this one a few generations later. Works very user friendly, had to search a bit to turn off some automatic notifications but logical thinking and they are off in no time. Made a few trips and haven't had to recharge yet.

Werkt geweldig in gebruik, zeer gemakkelijk te koppelen en af te lezen. Echt fijne toevoeging aan mijn mtb en racefiets routines.

Very satisfied with this purchase
Previously used the 810 and very satisfied with it. Doubting between this 830 and the 1030. Price difference made me choose the 830. Screen is big enough for me and very bright. Battery life with the right settings is more than enough for a very long day on the bike. The three preset profiles Race, MTB and Gravel are also very handy. Preset maps are also very satisfactory.

One of the better garmin navigation`s out there!
A fantastic Garmin, does what it is supposed to do. I had the Edge Explorer before and this Garmin is so much better and faster. The battery lasts at least 15 - 20 hours! Made 4 long rides of +4 hours and still had 32% battery left. The navigation is fast and if you bike wrong then the route is reset in seconds. A minus point of this garmin could be for some people that the screen is a bit small. i myself do not experience this as a minus point because it is easy to read. but maybe for some people it is on the small side.

The slightly more expensive price is really worth this device!
Device meets all me expectation. Best Garmin device of all devices so far.

Good navigation and pleasant to use
Bike rides on road bike. Good interface with heart rate monitor. Nice touch screen operation. Quickly calculates a new route if you want to ride differently than planned. For planning routes I use the Komoot app. Works better for cycling than Garmin's own route planner and Connect app.

Edga 830 and Vivosmart 4, should have done it a lot sooner !
After several years of working with a Polar V650 and A370, I was completely fed up with the software and sync problems that occurred regularly after updates. After some searching I finally found the Edge 830. So many possibilities that it takes some time to figure it all out, but in the end it is all very logical and it works without a hitch. Starting a ride is easy and informing the home front also works perfectly! Eventually I bought the Garmin speed and cadence sensors because they are very easy to transfer to another bike, and you can simply replace the battery if necessary. Then I also switched to a smarttracker, the Vivosmart 4 by Garmin, because I can control everything in one app. I am very happy with this switch!

Beautiful, compact and good product.
I first had the edge 1000. Unfortunately ended up in the washing machine. Now a model smaller and went for the 830. Works a lot faster, more options and better battery life. I wouldn't go for the cheaper one without touch. There is no navigation on those.

Highly recommended!
Previously had a Garmin Edge 1000. Now bought the Edge 830 touchscreen. Found the Edge 1030 too expensive because all features relevant to me are also on the 830 touchscreen. Bought the touchscreen version because the navigation capabilities are more extensive than the 830 without touchscreen. Navigating back to route works very quickly. The Edge 830 navigates faster than the 1000 and has more features. The screen is slightly smaller than the 1000 but this does not seem to be a problem in practice. The battery lasts longer than that of the 1000.

The price was a point of doubt , but worth it in the end
Super handy for my training plans from Trainingspeaks . Trouble-free pairing with the powermeters of both my bikes. Uploading data is fast. I haven't tried everything in terms of routes, etc. yet.

Nice thing for the cyclist who doesn't cycle the same round every day.
Nice product, elevation profiles are super. At first a little hassle with syncing with Strava but eventually runs perfectly. Live segments don't come through very well yet (or I don't know how), but of course you need a paid Strava subscription for this too. All in all nice thing, quite pricey but for now worth the money for the cyclist who doesn't cycle the same lap every day.

Good product for good price and delivered quickly
Bought as an upgrade from the 820, mainly for the better battery. But the faster navigation is also welcome. Otherwise a good and familiar Garmin product.

Fine device!
I have owned this one for two weeks now. I pair it for heart rate with my Garmin forerunner 245. The device is very user friendly and has nice features. Especially letting it plan a route by itself is nice. The accuracy is fine on the first rides, even when used for mountain biking.

A super good bike navigation with all the options
After a very disappointing Garmin Edge Explore which was really empty after 3 hours of cycling, I was able to exchange it for the 830 with an additional payment. First of all compliments for the very good service from Mantel. The 830 is in 1 word great, super fast and very easy to set up. I have now also connected the cardans, speed sensor and heart rate monitor. This completes it!

Fantastic! Top navigation, simple to use, accurate, practical, just great!
Very satisfied with the Garmin Edge 830. The navigation works very accurately, is easy to set up and what I am especially satisfied with is the quick recalculation of the route if you are wrong. In addition, super many handy features (back-to-start, suprise-me; climb pro, etc) and with the Garmin Connect App everything is very easy to set up. A must for me is the touchscreen that even with rain it just acts like it's dry. (I didn't expect this) Am now saving up for the sensors because it is just even more of a pleasure to get on the bike!

Top Navigation
Fine accurate navigation, indicates turns with beeps so you don't have to look at your screen all the time. The surprise me function is nice and it is also easy to create routes yourself with the garmin app. The climb pro function is very useful when cycling in the mountains. There are many more functions available. I think it is a good device and I am very happy with it.

Perfect replacement for my Edge 800
Bought the Edge 830 as a replacement for the 800. Clearly noticeable that big steps have been made, design is more compact, screen is nicer and works much better. Synchronization with the phone is perfect and the amount of data is much greater than the 800, GPS is quickly found. Incident detection is also very nice, you hope never to have to use it but an automatic SMS in case of a crash is a nice idea.

Great bike computer!
Nice bike computer that does what it promises. Everything runs smoothly and the navigation is top notch. Also the handlebar mount included is top! Just wondering how the touchscreen works in the rain.

Used for bicycle trip The Hague - Porto: great GPS with clear directions, good battery life and easy to read. Alternative routes are immediately indicated. Downloading cycling routes is simple and clear. Silicone case also proves its usefulness against drops and scratches. Makes the cycling vacation so much more enjoyable!

Great Upgrade
Have used Garmin Edge 810 for last six years and afte over 70,000km decided to upgrade. The 830 is excellent with screen size and battery life after 100km spin only 10% of battery used.
