XC M tread
The XC M tread is intended for softer surfaces. The studs are spaced further apart so the tyre can grip the ground well. This ensures plenty of traction even when the surface gets wetter. The downside is that on hard surfaces, the tyre will work slightly less well than Pirelli's XC RC tread. A good choice would be to use the XC RC as a rear tyre and the XC M as a front tyre; this way, you have the best of both worlds.

Maximum speed with the Race compound
The Scorpion Race tyres use the Race compound, Pirelli's highest-quality compound. It offers a great balance between grip, speed and puncture protection.

ProWALL puncture protection
This tyre includes a ProWALL sidewall that prevents tearing while keeping the tyre supple. Thus, you can ride at low tyre pressure without worrying about getting a flat tyre. The inner layer prevents penetration and, therefore, provides effective protection against sharp stones.
