Description
Description
Pirelli has been developing the tyre for three years, involving the fastest and best riders and riders at World Tour level: riders from teams such as AG2R, Trek Segafredo and Team BikeExchange. This feedback, combined with the knowledge gained from Formula 1, has produced a great all-round tyre: the Pirelli P Zero Road.
Technology
SmartEVO compoundThe new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each offering their specific performance qualities. It is a search for the optimal balance between opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. With Pirelli tyres you can take advantage of more than 100 years of experience in developing tyres for motorsport and cycling which meet specific needs for different situations.
It enabled Pirelli to create a polymer blend with 'smart' performance characteristics for bicycle tyres as the basis for the excellent properties of the SmartEVO compound, resulting in better grip on dry and wet, while also giving lower rolling resistance. Pirelli has created a performance compound designed and tuned for all modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where the climate and road surface demand tyres that perform in all conditions.
TechBelt puncture resistance layer
The carcass of this road bike tyre has been developed to provide a high degree of puncture resistance in a wide variety of conditions. A light yet flexible layer with an added layer that is highly puncture resistant.

Very good but sensitive.
Very happy with the tyre but have had to take out several stones preventively. For commuting I wouldn't buy these again.... For leisure riding perfect!

Top band
Used on bad foreign roads, still iet punctured and rode very comfortably. 26mm is also a nice intermediate size, slightly bigger than 25, but not 28. Overall a top tyre.

Veel banden monteren moeilijk op mijn wielen met deze Pirellis ging dat vrij soepel. Ze voelen verder ook lekker soepel aan en rollen lekker.

Rewarding choice
Accustomed to 28mm GP5000s, I decided on these PIRELLI P ZÉRO ROADs after consulting the tests and reviews, here and there, to try something different ... I also wanted a smaller width, 26mm. The advantage goes to the PIRELLI, admittedly my rear GP5000 was worn out at 6500kms..., the front one 50% worn. After 3 rides, I noticed the following advantages over the GP5000s More efficient braking.

Top tire. Nice ride, good grip, no punctures
I bought the Pirelli P Zero Road a year ago, after I always had the same problems with several Conti Grand Prix 5000 (v.a. with cracks in the sidewalls and cuts in the treads). After over 4000km mileage (puncture-free) I am thrilled with the Pirelli P Zero Road. The grip and the driving experience I find top, the installation is easier than any other tires I've ever had and I have no more problems. I am fully satisfied with the parts.
