Detailed product description

Fits your wrist and your sense of style

Thanks to the light-weight, comfortable design you can wear the Forerunner 935 GPS running/triathlon watch all day. The 935 is compatible with the easy to switch QuickFit™ wrist bands. You can choose between sportive silicon wristbands, vintage leather wristbands and even high-grade metal wristbands. You can adjust the watch to your personal preferences, activities or style.

Training Insight

Measure your performance and evaluate training and recovery. How effective is your current training regimen really? The Forerunner 935 allows you to measure the effectiveness of your training and recovery, to better prepare for a competition or training cycle. Training status is a new performance measuring feature that automatically evaluates your recent training history and performance indicators, and displays if you’re training effectively, optimally or too intensively. The new anaerobic training effect gives you essential insight into your training performance which allow you to conclude if your trainings increase your performance. You can also check your total training load, which measures your training over the last 7 days and compares it with your optimal fitness capacity and recent training history.

Analyse your technique

Garmin keeps the data you need to improve your endurance within reach. Your Forerunner supplies you with important running data which you can use to analyse your performance. Biomechanical data, such as cadence, step length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio, are essential to gain insight into your endurance, so you can perform optimally on the day of a competition. These data are available with the addition of a compatible wrist heart rate monitor or the compact running dynamics sensor that you can easily attach to your waistband. Get the most out of features that help your cycling and swimming regimens. While in water, the Forerunner 935 measures distance, tempo and strokes, among other things.

Unrivaled battery life

The battery will last longer than the longest training. Even during an Ironman or ultra marathon you can trust this battery. In GPS mode, the Forerunner 935 offers a battery life of up until 24 hours, and in UltraTrac battery saving mode a battery life of up until 60 hours. For daily use as smart watch, one battery charge lasts up to 2 weeks.

Smarter contact

Receiving smartphone notification on your wristwatch is only the beginning. Connecting to your compatible smartphone gives the Forerunner 935 access to automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, audio instructions, music controls and much more. Allow your family and friends to follow your running and cycling trainings in real time using LiveTrack — or use GroupTrack to keep an eye on cycling buddies during a ride. Using a quick Wi-Fi connection, you can easily send and receive data to the cloud.

Follow your heart

The wrist heart rate monitor comes in handy if you want to give it your all during a competition. But the Forerunner 935 also offers the option to have many more data at your fingertips using a compatible heart rate monitor. With a heart rate monitor around the chest (such as the HRM-RUN™ or HRM-Tri™) you gain access to advanced features, such as lactate threshold and the HSV stress test (heart rate variations).

Into the wild

With the Forerunner 935 you can go anywhere - GPS and GLONASS offer better coverage in inhospitable environments than GPS only. In addition, the built-in barometer displays real-time height data. Which activities can the 935 monitor? More than you would expect. Triathlon sports are just the beginning: the device also supports hiking, rowing, golfing, skiing, stand up paddleboarding, and much more.

Adjusting and connecting

The Forerunner 935 GPS running/triathlon watch automatically synchronises with Garmin Connect, our free online fitness community, where you can keep track of your progress and even share it on social media. You can sign up for Garmin Connect using your pc or you can download the Garmin Connect Mobile app on a compatible smartphone. You can adjust your device’s settings with data fields, free NUUN dials and with apps such as Uber and Accuweather, all available via Connect IQ.

A few extras

The Forerunner 935 works non-stop, like your heart. This watch will become your companion for recovery with an activity tracker that keeps track of your steps, calories and sleep. It’s also compatible with our Varia accessory line for safe cycling, such as the rear view radar, smart cycling lights and the Varia Vision In-Sight display. Our power meters in the pedals, the Vector™ 2 (with two sensors) and 2S (with a single sensor), will complement your cycling equipment perfectly. The Vector 2 integrates seamlessly with your Forerunner to display power, cadence, left/right balance and cycling dynamics data, so you can see how and where you’re applying force.

Turn every day into a competition

Strava Live Segments stimulate you to perform better every day. Strava Premium subscribers can synchronise running and cycling segments with their Forerunner 935 to get live feedback during their activities. You’ll also receive a notification for the start and finish of every segment, you can see the ranking and compare your current activity to your personal record.

From plan to performance with TrainingPeaks

Nothing is better than a perfectly executed workout. With the TrainingPeaks Connect IQ app you can open your daily workout routine on your Forerunner 935. Next, the device imports your workout, including intensity goals and intervals, directly from TrainingPeaks. After the training session, your completed workout is synchronised back into TrainingPeaks for a detailed analysis of your performance and to measure your performance relative to your goals.

A watch you can rely on

If you equip your Forerunner 935 with a Road ID front panel (sold separately), you can set out with confidence. The panel is easily attached to your wristband and can contain important medical information as well as emergency contact numbers, in case your training goes awry. You’ll be safer and your family and friends will feel more relaxed when you’re setting out.

Running capacity

Boost your training and download our Running Power app in the Connect IQ story on your compatible watch. The Running Power app was developed by Garmin Labs and collects all kinds of data, such as tempo, vertical oscillation, slope and even the local wind conditions. This allows you to see how much power you use when taking a step. Seeing your energy usage for every minute and kilometer lets you better figure out the best tempo so you don’t get tired too fast. What’s more, if you own all the right Garmin devices, it won’t cost you extra to get the most out of your running sessions. The only thing you need is a fēnix 5/fēnix 5S/fēnix 5X, fēnix Chronos, Forerunner 935 and one of these three accessories: HRM-Run, HRM-Tri or the Running Dynamics Pod. Go to the Running Science page for more info.
