Description

Description

The Continental Ultra Sport III is the renewed version of Continental's reliable entry-level touring and road bike tyre, the Ultra Sport II. The Ultra Sport III has a redesigned dynamic profile on the tread and shoulders, which optimises performance even further. Like its predecessor, the Continental Ultra Sport III is made of the PureGrip Compound.

The versatile training tyre for different types of weather
Thanks in part to the PureGrip Compound, which makes this tyre very durable, the Ultra Sport III ensures good roadholding and good grip. The compound will last for many kilometres, and the tyre's tread profile will continue to give you good grip when cornering.

Technology

PureGrip Compound
The PureGrip Compound is an advanced rubber mix based on activated silica compounds. It provides much grip and is also very durable. Thus, you will be able to ride a great many kilometres with the Ultra Sport III!

I see positivie experiences. But my experience is lousy with these tyres.

- Arjan 29 June 2024

First the rear tyre burst with a bang. Walked 6 km to the bike shop. Rear tyre replaced. Less than km down the road front tyre pops. Rims checked nothing strange. They are just lousy tyres. I won't order them again. I had only ridden 75km on them Already contacted Mantel

Pros & Cons

Got them on easily
Broken with after 75km
No puncture protection

price/quality this is TOP

- Bart 24 May 2024

This is an ideal mileage eater, which is reliable in all weather conditions yet has fairly low rolling resistance

Low rolling resistance

4 / 5

First impression is good.

- Robert 20 September 2023

A folding tyre for the first time. I had doubts whether such a tyre would round properly, but those fears proved unfounded. Helps for even easier fitting. Replaces a 25mm tyre on me and I find this 28mm more comfortable to ride. I have no opinion on the quality yet - only done 100km.

Pros & Cons

Easy to assemble
Rides well

- William 25 August 2023

Took a few rides, very satisfied! Excellent in terms of rolling resistance.

Pros & Cons

Drenthe cobbles good to go!
From 23 to 28mm, top choice!

A band that does what it's supposed to do. Roll

- Tom 26 July 2023

The previous tyre (same type) had a small crack, otherwise rode fine. Ordered the same one and it was on the rim quickly.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit on the rim
Well-packed (space-saving)
