Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • Thanks to the density of the studs there is plenty of traction on the asphalt and on the straights.
  • The Terra Trail TR has good puncture protection due to the ProTection technology.
  • The studs on the sides of the tyre are higher than on the tread for a good mix of grip and speed on straights and in bends.
  • The tyre can be used as Tubeless so that you can get the most out of it.
  • The high studded tread with the BlackChili Compound provides a lot of grip but has a higher rolling resistance than the Terra Speed.

Description

Description

The Continental Terra Trail TR is a mixed conditions gravel tyre. Whether in dry or wet weather, this gravel tyre from Continental's new Terra line is perfect for riding on gravel paths. Due to the higher studs on the side compared to the tread, there is no shortage of grip in the bends. This allows you to take every bend with confidence.

Technology

BlackChili Compound
With the unique BlackChili Compound, Continental guarantees the best balance between grip and rolling resistance. This special composition of polymers and carbon particles ensures that the tyre always performs optimally, on the road or on gravel.

ProTection technology
The ProTection technology works together with the BlackChili Compound to maintain the perfect grip and low rolling resistance, without compromising on puncture resistance. Thanks to the ProTection technology, the tyre has good damping.

Weight:
• 40-622: 460 grams
The weight we mention is weighed by the manufacturer and may differ from the actual weight when you weigh the tyre yourself at home. This deviation is usually small and is due to the production process.

Fine tyre but leaks sealant quickly in lots of places. Holes never close

- jo 30 June 2021

This tyre rides very well and extremely fast on asphalt, gravel and in sand. Unfortunately, the holes never get sealed and keep leaking sealant forever. Already poured in several brands, it keeps foaming and dripping. The bike is also often suddenly found in the garage with flat tyres. Very annoying and a shame for such expensive tyres. I replace them again with Vittoria's that I rode before. They wore out faster but you hardly ever had to pump them up.

Pros & Cons

good in sand
good on pavement
nice tyre
prone to punctures
unreliable
