This oval AbsoluteBLACK CX Sram Direct Mount chainring is ideal for a SRAM spec'd road, gravel or cyclocross bike. This chainring provides a more efficient pedalling motion, is low in weight and grips the chain well. So you can ride even faster in the field, on gravel or on the road!

More efficient pedalling
Scientific research has shown that an oval chainring can improve the performance of many cyclists. The oval shape removes the dead spot when pedalling. This allows you to both increase speed and cycle in a more controlled way. Riding with an oval chainring may take some getting used to, but for most riders it only takes a few rides to get used to.

Chain retention and low weight
A special, high-quality design allows this chainring to hold the chain well. The teeth have a narrow-wide grind so that it is almost impossible for the chain to come off the sprocket.
The low weight is achieved by grinding away as much material as possible, without compromising strength and durability. An additional benefit of this grinding is the open tread, which allows sand, dirt and mud to be properly removed.

Compatibility
This chainring is suitable for all 11 and 12 speed Sram Rival, Force and Red cranks with a BB30, GXP or DUB fit. On these cranks, the regular chainrings are mounted on a spider. You can unscrew the spider and mount the AbsoluteBlack chainring in its place. To clarify this assembly we have added a video, so you can watch how it works.
