These Shimano XT M8120 disc brakes can be fully adjusted to your preferences. They feature Shimano's I-Spec EV mounting system, which allows you to put the brake and gear levers in your preferred positions. Another advantage is that you only need one clamp to mount the gear and brake levers. Moreover, there are options on the brake lever to customise the distance between the brake lever and the handlebars.
Servo Wave technology for improved modulation
The Shimano Servo Wave technology in these XT M8120 brakes makes the brakes travel a relatively long distance in the first stage of the braking movement, leaving plenty of room for modulation and a refined brake feel in the second stage of the brake lever retraction. This not only increases braking power, but also allows for high precision braking!
No air in the system due to the one-way bleeding method
The Shimano XT M8120 brakes have an optimised brake fluid flow thanks to their unidirectional ventilation method. This prevents air getting into the hydraulic system, which not only benefits braking performance but also makes clean, trouble-free bleeding possible.
If you switch to a different brand of disc brakes or a different size of disc brake rotors, you will need a specific adapter between the frame and the caliper.
These adapters can be found here.

For me, these are the best brakes in this price range
For me, the ergonomics of these levers are the most pleasant (better than Sram) and the adjustability of reach and contact point is nice. In addition, the brakes grip nicely: more direct than Sram. 4 pistons give more braking power, but you really only need them in the mountains (and that's why I bought them).

Brake is perfect
One minus is only that the brake handles are too small otherwise cool look and good brakes

Fantastic package, brilliant brakeset
I was skeptical as previously I have suffered with many issues with Shimano brakes. However in the weeks I have used these they have been mighty impressive. Set up out of the box was simple and the brakeset are beautifully made. Mantel service was again spot on
