This Shimano SLX M7100 chain was specially developed for the 12-speed SLX groupset. It has an excellent price/performance ratio and will serve you well, even in demanding conditions. It is also delivered standard with a Shimano Quick-Link, so that you can easily fit and remove your chain.
Shimano's Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is a special gear teeth profile designed for use in single-chainring configurations for XC, enduro and trail riding. It improves chain retention due to extended inner plates, and smoother pedalling even on hilly terrain.
Sil-Tec coating
This special coating from Shimano uses imbedded fluorine particles to reduce friction and improve system performance. The chain will last longer because friction and noise are reduced and mud is shedded more effectively.

Replacing the chain is simple, if you have some extra tools. The chain runs well and smoothly. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but you pay a lot more for that.
