Shimano's Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is a special gear teeth profile designed for use in single-chainring configurations for XC, enduro and trail riding. It improves chain retention due to extended inner plates, and smoother pedalling even on hilly terrain.
Sil-Tec coating
This special coating from Shimano uses imbedded fluorine particles to reduce friction and improve system performance. The chain will last longer because friction and noise are reduced and mud is shedded more effectively.
