Designed for the Eagle technology. The Sram GX Eagle chain has, in contrast to the XX1 and X01 chain a solid pin construction. The chain is cheaper but also a bit heavier. The Sram GX Eagle chain has an Eagle™ PowerLock® lock ring with Flow Link™ technology. This results in a smoother run and a longer life span. The chain is one of the quietest, strongest, and most durable in the world. The Eagle™ technology achieves a range of 500%, which is 20% bigger than other 1x drivetrains.
• Including 12-speed power lock
• Minimum 112 shifts
• Technologies: FLOWLINK™ and POWERLOCK®

Use Missing Link pliers
This chain comes with a missing link as standard. The use of this missing link makes it very easy to assemble the chain, but is also ideal if you want to thoroughly clean your bike. To open and close this missing link you need Missing Link pliers, you can find them here.
Lengthening with a chain rivet tool
When you buy a chain it is always too long, which means it always needs to be cut to length. To adjust the chain to the correct length it has to be broken, this is done with a chain punch. Our chain punches can be found here. Make sure you choose a chain tool for the right speed.

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:
October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
