Saddle shape
The shape of this saddle is the 'waved shape', as Selle Italia calls it. This means that the back of the saddle slopes upwards, giving more support to less agile riders with shorter hamstrings, allowing them to adopt a deep seating position.
Comfortable
Thanks to the large L3 cut-out, you will experience less pressure on noble parts in a deep seating position on the road bike. The Selle Italia Maxus version is a comfortable, wider version within the Novus saddles and suitable for riders with a wider seat bone width.
Carbon reinforced seat shell
The shell of this Selle Italia Maxus Novus Boost Evo TI316 Superflow saddle is reinforced with carbon. This makes the saddle shell much stiffer, which has two major advantages. The first advantage is that the shell retains its shape longer and is less likely to sag. This makes the saddle last longer. The second advantage is that the power transmission is extra good because of this extra stiffness. This ensures that you can cycle harder and with more control.
Saddles with the Selle Italia Superflow design have a cut-out in the middle of the saddle. This recess relieves pressure on the noble parts, spreading your weight over your sit bones. It also has a cooling effect, reducing sweating.
Ti316 Saddle rails
The saddle rails of this saddle are made of Ti316 steel. This is a combination of titanium and stainless steel. This combination makes the material not only rustproof, but also 25% stronger and 15% lighter than regular steel!

Finally, a saddle that suits me!
After testing several saddles without success, I let Mantel guide me in choosing a saddle for my Canyon Grizl gravel bike. On the guide's advice, I bought this Italia saddle, and after 3 long test rides, I'm finally comfortable on my bike! No more standing up and sitting down to relieve the pressure, and no more rides that ended in pain. I can now set off for more than 50km without thinking "too bad, I'm going to be sore". If this saddle has been suggested to you thanks to the guide on the site, don't hesitate!

I have this saddle next to the Sqlab 612. The cutout is nice and does its job. Because the back is slightly raised it is comfortable and I don't move around too much. The saddle is not rock hard which can become less comfortable on longer rides.

Comfortable saddle, not rock hard
