Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- When the tyre is inflated, the Air-Liner shrinks; if you should get a puncture that does not get sealed, it goes back to its original size to serve as a shock absorber.
- The Vittoria Air-Liner Gravel is very lightweight: it weighs only 47 grams!
- Thanks to the special foam formula, the material flexes where needed yet is firm enough to keep your tyre on the rim.
- In a race, you can continue riding if you have a puncture without damaging the rims. The advantage of tubes now available for tubeless tyres.
- Can be cut to size to fit every wheel diameter up to 29 inch.
- This Air-Liner is only compatible with gravel tyres from 31 to 40 mm. For wider tyres we recommend the Air-Liner MTB.
- The 60mm valve fits up to a maximum rim height of 45-50mm.

It is an absolutely ingenious construction: when the tyre is inflated, the Air-Liner shrinks to a minimal thickness so as not to get in the way of the latex sealant. Should you get a puncture, the latex seals it unless the hole is too big. In the latter case, the Air-Liner takes action. As soon as air gets into the tyre, it expands back to its original thickness to protect the rim. This way you can keep on riding without the bike becoming unstable.
Good protection and low weight
The Vittoria Air-Liner is made from a specially developed foam that allows it to flex when going over obstacles, yet is firm enough to hold the tyre in place in case of pressure loss. As it weighs only 47 grams, it is a lightweight in your wheels and a heavyweight when it comes to getting you home with a serious puncture.

Recommended for gravelers
Very easy to install, excellent fitting a 35C tubeless, it seems to be protecting the carbon against shocks and stones. Lightweight to the point that acceleration of wheels is not impacted significantly.

Excellent product
Air liner installed on my 38 mm gravel tires. Only done two rides with it so far but tried to ride those rides fairly ungainly. Just maxed out branches and curbs. Everything stayed in one piece

To always be able to cycle back home with a flat / broken Tubeless tire
These Air-liners mounted to always be able to come home to a leak not plugged by saelant which also cannot be plugged. They proved their worth once when I had a large crack in the rear tire caused by a stone and was able to cycle the last 5 km home at 25 km/h sitting in the saddle. After that, the Air-liner was not visibly damaged and is back in place after fitting a new rear tire. Fitting the Air-liner is easy and the fitting experience is similar to that of a lightly inflated inner tube.
