This lock from Abus is really a mega strong and user-friendly lock. I did buy it in a long size which makes it easy to tie around a post but this again makes it fairly large on my seat post.

Yes this is a heavy, long lock with a thick end but because of this I always feel that my new ebike is secure and the bike is easily locked and secured 'to the world'. I am a little worried about my fragile spokes and this heavy lock but as long as I handle it carefully it should be fine.

Beautiful and strong. Covers protect bike paint. Strong safety feeling and look. I use it as a 2nd lock. The chain is too short to anchor it properly to a post. Since it is heavy, I understand the reason to keep it short.

Great, immediately easy to use, really sturdy but not too heavy, highly recommended. If I want to accelerate my cargo bike to wheel and frame and something external it is a bit tight so just a bit longer would be optimal.

Seems to be a fine lock, though it is on the heavy side. Lock opens a bit stiffly, but better than my previous Axa City Linq lock

Nice and solid-feeling lock. Long enough to put around a lamppost or something and the weight is not too bad after reading the reviews. The only downside is that I think it does scratch a bit despite the cover, especially if you wrap it around the saddle as standard.

Extra lock for my e-bike next to the ring lock to replace the chain that clicks into the ring lock. Makes it a bit more difficult for thieves anyway. Fine solid lock, fits well under the saddle, but a bit heavier.

Just pack it or put something on it and it's done. The lock is unlocked by key and only opened by pulling one end out of the lock. Locking is achieved by pushing one end into the lock, but it is not locked until the key is turned and removed. Always remember. just snapping in does not mean locked. I chose this one because it is the lightest chain 110cm long with ART2 certification. Likes it super well, the outer fabric is very nice, water repellent and does not get dirty easily. Despite being a heavy chain (2.2kg) everything feels nice. Opening and closing also works well. You turn the key to open, it then stays put and cannot get out, then you pull it open, insert the chain and click it closed again. Then you turn the key back again and pull it out. This all goes pretty smoothly, you have to apply a little force but I personally like that. Feels mega solid.

I bought the lock based on reviews and (especially) multiple tests. I wanted the best lock, because a good quality bike lock can (and nowadays should...) prevent a lot of misery. The first impressions are very positive. The lock is very flexible and very solid in construction. I bought the longer version (110 cm), which greatly increases the possibilities of 'securing' my bike in certain places. And yes, where to buy the very best lock. I have ordered stuff from Mantel several times. Always to my complete satisfaction and always very competitive in price. Both Mantel and Abus Iven: highly recommended!

I was struggling to find a decent security rated (and not shockingly heavy) chain bike lock for my daughter to use for college. This Abus lock was the perfect balance of those for me, but the only place I could find it online was with a bike shop I had never used before (or to be frank even heard of). So glad I took a punt on Mantel! The ordering process was straightforward, the cost was very reasonable and the delivery was nothing short of rapid! Purchased this lock several times already. Very pleasant to use. Long enough to secure the bike to something via front wheel and frame. Do recommend oiling lock occasionally. By the way, the lock is easy to saw through. After losing keys, it was cut within a minute with a grinder.
