Solid
The Shimano WH-RS300 is a comfortable wheelset.
Easy to maintain bearings thanks to the smooth cup-conus system.
Comes with straight pull spokes, which have a lower chance of snapping than j-bend spokes.
Mavic Aksium wheels offer unparalleled value for money.
Durable and well Mavic QRM 2RS sealed bearings - something not often found on an entry level wheel set.
The 17 mm wide rim makes it possible to mount 25 to 32 mm wide tyres.
Great looks because of the black brake track and grey decals.
Wide rim design which suits wider tyres well.
Fitted with aero spokes for minimal aerodynamic drag.
Cons
Not the lightest
Relatively heavy, but this is normal for a wheelset in this price range.
The Mavic Aksium wheel set is only available with Shimano 10-11 speed body. A Mavic FTS-L Campagnolo body is can be ordered separately.
The black brake surface loses its colour quite quickly due to wear.
