Best clincher bike tyre ever made!

- Howard, 13 June, 2018

Used them for the last 10 years, yet to try the new graphene version while I can still get these!

Pros & Cons

Everything
can be susceptible to cuts

Supple smooth fast tyre bought from a reputable company

- Alec, 30 March, 2018

Tyres give a brilliant ride and are fast enough for any racing or best bike use. 25c at around 95psi give grip enough for incredible lean around corners in the dry and yet still fast rolling. Noticed an instant change in comfort and feedback from my previous Michelin pro 4 and Conti gp 4ks. Decent level of puncture protection for a race tyre but not really anything out of the ordinary + or - , but would be cautious about long back roads rides in UK winter. But again it's not a touring tyre. Ordered 2 and both weighed exactly the same (good quality manufacturing) Order arrived within time frame quoted and through a reliable post company. Tracked and live last hour tracking. Good tyres and an easy 1st purchase experience through mantel. 5*

Pros & Cons

Fast rolling, grippy
Smooth ride and accurate road feedback
Frailer side walls than other tyres

High quality race-inspired design

- Kevin, 10 January, 2018

These are great! I’d rather speak facts than opinion and it’s too early to give a full life review but this is the best I can offer up here... I fitted them very easily with just finger pressure (will be fine roadside, though no punctures yet). Seated and inflated to around 100 psi they measure 25mm high and 25.5mm wide (so true to side for 25 version). There’s no defects, they felt really supple but well made, as you’d expect of a cotton 320 tpi tyre of this type. The lack of rubber In the tread centre compared to other tyres is noticeable, and presumably this will impact durability. They seated really easily with no need to max out the pressure. A simple friction test with an unmourned wheel showed night and day improvement over my old vittoria zaffiros. To ride on they really do feel great, much more comfortable, as you’d hope, and totally solved the sketchy feeling that the zaffiros had in cold damp winter conditions. I know theyre not an ideal choice for a winter tyre but the grip is there for me with these on. To

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Light weight
Road feel
True to size

Best tyres you can buy

- Dave, 8 May, 2017

Fantastic tyres. Light and very fast. Could be grippier in the wet. The new version are supposed to be better but there's no black wall version.

Much loved tyre now difficult to obtain

- John, 5 May, 2017

This is a racing tyre whose riding behaviour is close to that of a tubular. It has good puncture resistance and wear qualities. I have used it for many years. The slick version is my favourite but is now, I think, unobtainable. Sadly Vittoria seem intent on phasing these out replacing them with the pricier G+ Graphene model. I will be storing up on more of these soon

Pros & Cons

fast
great handling characteristics
light
resistance to punctures
