Description
The Mavic Aksium Elite UST road bike wheels are an excellent replacement for your existing worn wheels or possibly as a wheelset in the spring and autumn. The Mavic Aksium Elite UST wheels are very wide with an internal diameter of 19mm. This ensures that the wheels feel more stable and wider tyres fit better. The Mavic Aksium Elite UST wheels are equipped with the UST system. This makes it possible to make the tyres tubeless for more comfort, lower rolling resistance and less chance of punctures.

The MyMavic app (available in the App Store and Play Store) provides advice on the right tyre width and pressure, attuned to your rim width and the terrain.

Good wheels, rubbish tyres

I love the thought Mavic have put into this setup. Buying a complete wheel/tyre setup is handy. The wheels are great. They spin well and seem durable on rough roads. Unfortunately neither the front nor rear tyres have lasted longer than 1000 km without getting multiple gashes in them. I have had four punctures in them over 1000km of which the sealant has sealed 3.
