Edco Monoblock 11 speed cassette. Ever since Shimano released the 11 speed groupsets, cyclists who don't have an 11 speed suitable wheelset and don't want to buy one have had a big problem. Edco has found a solution for that, namely, the Monoblock 11 speed cassette. This cassette is made out of one piece, which also makes it compatible with the older 9/10 speed bodies. That is why it's also a lot lighter than most cassettes. For example, it is 10 grams lighter than a Dura Ace 12-25t cassette. This is therefore a very easy and nice solution for those who don't want to say goodbye to their old trusty wheelset! So if you're looking for a super light cassette at a competitive price, this is your chance!

Great way to make 9/10 speed wheels work with 11 speed

I have a number of 10 and 9 speed wheels and this works great on all of them with my new 11 speed TT bike. Need to adjust the rear derailleur a little when on the old 9 speed wheels, that is all. Don't forget to buy red lockring if using on 9/10 wheels.

With my my Ultegra Di2 it works well. There is more noise than Shimano cassette, and down changes area less smooth, but I knew this before I bought it. I think it should cause less damage to an aluminium freehub body than a Shimano cassette also, being of one piece construction. I'm using it with 10 + 11 space lock ring. I probably would stick to matching groupset cassette if you have an 11sp freehub, just for smoothness and cost, but it's saved my 10sp wheels☺
