Next winter, experience the feeling of riding outside, without the cold and rain. The Tacx Genius Multiplayer Smart T2010 is a multi-functional high end trainer. The great thing about virtual trainers is that the route you’re riding isn’t just shown on a screen, you receive actual feedback from your bike as well! The T2010 comes with Tacx Trainer Software 4 Advanced (NOTE: only compatible with Windows). This cutting edge software will immerse you into the virtual world like never before: the world on your screen becomes as real as the world around you. Once you get a taste, you’ll never want to go back.
The wireless engine brake can generate up to 1500 Watt of resistance and apply this to your rear wheel, while also being able to drive the wheel during descends. The gradient can be simulated up to 20% during climbs and -5% on descends.
The Genius Multiplayer Smart transmits data through both an ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart signal, making it easy to pair with your smartphone or tablet. Getting a read-out of your data is possible on several devices simultaneously, for instance your smartphone and bike computer.
When the Genius Multiplayer Smart isn’t linked to a smartphone, tablet, or computer, the trainer behaves like any fluid trainer. When used as a stand-alone trainer, it offers progressive resistance: higher speed leads to higher resistance.
3rd Party Apps (Through ANT+)
The Tacx Smart trainers can be used with a variety of software such as ZWIFT, Bkool, TrainerRoad, or Kinomap. The new open source ANT+ protocol (FE-C) allows the software to control the trainer. Depending on the chosen software, you can base your training on power or gradient, or just go for a ride in the virtual world.
Tacx Cycling App (Through Bluetooth Smart and ANT+)
Use the Tacx Cycling App to ensure an optimal training session. The app is easy to use and freely available in the Appstore or Playstore. The app allows you to rerun legendary climbs and stages through the available video footage. The Catalyst function allows you to create your own training programs and work out based on heart rate, gradient, or power. Preinstalled fitness tests and training sessions are also available. The data is displayed during your training and stored as well, so you can analyse your session afterwards (iPad only).
The Tacx Cycling app for iPhone and Android tablets and smartphones does not offer all the functionality provided on the iPad. A comprehensive compatibility description can be found in the specifications.
