Good / Better |
In keeping with the XX1 and X01 groupset, there's now a 12-speed version in the guise of the affordable Sram GX Eagle groupset. The Sram GX Eagle cassette offers a 500% gearing range and features the latest technologies. The XG-1275 cassette offers sprockets ranging from 10t up to 50t. This gives you speed on the flats and allows you to take on any mountain you'd want to.
Cassette selection
With this Sram XG-1275 GX Eagle 12-speed cassette, you can choose between a 10/50 and a 10/52 cassette. The 10/50 cassette gives you smaller sprocket differences so that you can easily keep your cadence. The 10/52 cassette provides a lighter resistance, so that you can still get up that mountain on bikepacking trips with full pack!

Durable and good mud drainage
The sprockets on this cassette are attached to each other with pins. Sram calls this FULL PIN™ technology. This technology makes the cassette not only light, but also very durable. Because of the open X-DOME™ design mud and other debris can easily be removed. This benefits both shifting and durability.
• Only suitable for the XD™ Driver Body
• Weight according to Sram: 450 grams
• Material: forged steel

Compatible with SRAM XD body
The 12-speed cassette fits the existing XD driver. This means that the distance between the sprockets is reduced and therefore the chain is also narrower. X-Glide 2 is the latest generation of the SRAM X-Glide technology, optimized for the Eagle 12-speed cassette. It delivers fast and precise shifting under load throughout the entire gear range and increases the grip of the chain on the larger sprockets.

SRAM XD(R) body
This cassette only fits an XD(R) body. With this type of body the cassette is a single piece. You slide the cassette over the body and then you can tighten the lockring. When installing an MTB XD cassette on an XDR body, a 1.85 mm spacer should be placed in between.
Mounting with special tools
To assemble and disassemble this cassette you will need specific cassette tools. These can be found here.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened up, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you to apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.
