Base plate could be better designed
By having a protruding wear rim

Poor quality screws
Screw should be countersunk so they don't wear out

Best pedal system out there.

I was recommended these Speedplay zeros by a Retul bike fitter to solve a knee issue. It worked immediately and the adjustability is far greater than other pedal systems. I rode with the first set for 20,000km and have bought these to replace the cleats. The pedals are still going strong.
