I have converted my old bike from 3x9 to 1x11. To do this, I opted for the 11-speed XT cassette from Shimano. This fits without problems on the old freewheel body and the Variant 11-46 offers the right ratio for me in combination with a 32er chainring and 26" wheels in any terrain.

A good upgrade from my old slx cassette, it shifts just a bit smoother. Installation was also flawless (if you have the right tool for that).

High quality cassette. I chose the 46 tooth where I was coming off 40 teeth. A nice test but for Dutch conditions the 42 seems perfect to me

Straight replacement for the 11-40 I had before as the shifting is so good. I use it with a double (still!) as I like to have a slightly broader range of gears form my general riding. I could have run a single 11-45 but then the ratios would be too spaced for me.
