Easy installation
The Axa Multi Open is very easy to install, thanks to the inventive click-system. The lock is easy to mount, and fits securely. This ensures a good fit, so the chain guard does not loosen and does not rattle!
Made of sturdy material
The base plate is made of polycarbonate (light smoke) and the inner plate of ABS (grey). This material is strong and flexible, so this chain guard can take a beating.

Fragile and poor passing
You’ve got the name wrong. This chain guard isn’t open at all. The fit is wrong. I have a 28-inch bike, but the chain guard is much longer, which means the rear and front sprockets don’t fit inside it. There’s no room to route the cable from the Nexus hub through it.

Will hopefully protect the chain from dirt and salt and not have to lubricate the chain as often.
Is a little difficult to assemble perfectly so far. Gave the bracket an anti-corrosion treatment before assembly but I guess it will rust, would probably be better if it was in aluminium. The assembly work was complicated by the lack of instructions

Very good chain guard for a Dutch bike
Fits perfectly for s Hollandrad/Batavus and protects just as well.
