Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The unique flakFoil panel offers fold-out storm protection across your chest.
- As you no longer need to carry a shell vest or jacket, you will have more space in your back pockets for food or other cycling essentials.
- The softshell panel at the crotch protects your lower back and core from wind chill and road spray regardless of whether you’re using the flakFoil panel.
- The chamois insert offers a very comfortable fit, and is antimicrobial for a hygienic ride.
- The wind- and waterproof properties of the main fabric - apart from the flakFoil and crotch panels - are limited.
- This bib tight is designed for cool and dry conditions. For your rides in wetter or colder conditions, you will need more layers.

The Assos Equipe RS Spring Fall S11 EVO bib tight is designed for cyclists who’d rather not stuff a newspaper under their jersey on long, chilly descents or in inclement weather. When you are in need of added core protection, creative technology now makes the traditional newspaper solution redundant: With the flakFoil panel, you always have fully integrated wind protection within easy reach!
FlakFoil involves a 3-layer softshell panel that you unfold across your chest and tuck under the bib straps for an instant storm-proof upgrade. When not in use, it sits discreetly in its own pocket behind your left bib strap. This way, you also have more space in your back pockets – space that would otherwise be taken up by a shell vest or wind jacket.
The main fabric used in this Spring Fall bib tight is the same ultra-soft, breathable thermal fabric as the one used in the previous generation, and the storm-proof softshell panel at the crotch is back, too, to protect your core from wind chill and road spray. The antimicrobial seat pad has the same free-floating design and the same ventilation technologies as the summer bib shorts, but is now protected behind the breathable softshell panel. As a result, you can enjoy a garment with high breathability and without cold airflow, one that keeps you dry and warm exactly when you need it in cool weather.

FlakFoil storm panel
When you need more protection against wind chill while cycling, simply unfold the flakFoil 3-layer softshell panel across your chest and tuck it under your bib straps. When you don't need it anymore, you can stow it away in its own discreet pocket behind the left bib strap, so it doesn't take up any space in a back pocket.
Stormproof softshell crotch panel
The lightweight softshell panel at the crotch protects your core from wind chill and road spray, without causing you to overheat during intense exertion.
AEPD 11 racingFit
The Assos Equipe RS Spring Fall S11 EVO bib tight has a second-skin, aerodynamic fit that was developed using feedback from WorldTour riders. It offers 360-degree compression and stability while cycling at high intensity.

- Suitable for cool and dry riding conditions.
- Pair the bib tight with the R Spring Fall S11 jersey or the RS Spring Fall S11 jacket and other Spring Fall accessories.
- The raw-cut finish at the ankles fits snugly over rain or wind overshoes.
- The bib tight is not intended as a full rain suit: The wind- and waterproof properties of the main fabric - apart from the flakFoil and crotch panels - are limited.
- In severe cold, you will need additional layers.
- Only unfold the flakFoil panel when you need it.
- Wash the bib tight on a low spin cycle and avoid the tumble dryer to keep the softshell panel and fit in good condition for as long as possible.
- Build up your layers as conditions require: Start with this bib tight and a matching jersey, and add a jacket when it gets colder.
What is the difference between this EVO version and the previous S11 bib tight?
This EVO version features the flakFoil panel, a fold-out softshell panel on the chest that protects you from wind chill when needed and is otherwise efficiently stowed behind your left bib strap. The main fabric, the softshell panel at the crotch and the antimicrobial chamois are the same as in the previous S11 generation.
For which temperatures is this bib tight suitable?
This Spring Fall bib tight is designed for the temperature range of late autumn and early spring.
Is this bib tight waterproof?
Not entirely. Apart from the flakFoil and crotch panels, waterproofing is limited. If you are expecting heavy rainfall during a ride, it’s best to bring an additional rain layer.
How thick is the chamois insert?
The seat pad is 9 mm thick; it has a single-layer racing design that minimises bulk and weight.
