The Assos Equipe RS Spring Fall S11 EVO bib tight is designed for cyclists who’d rather not stuff a newspaper under their jersey on long, chilly descents or in inclement weather. When you are in need of added core protection, creative technology now makes the traditional newspaper solution redundant: With the flakFoil panel, you always have fully integrated wind protection within easy reach!
FlakFoil involves a 3-layer softshell panel that you unfold across your chest and tuck under the bib straps for an instant storm-proof upgrade. When not in use, it sits discreetly in its own pocket behind your left bib strap. This way, you also have more space in your back pockets – space that would otherwise be taken up by a shell vest or wind jacket.
The main fabric used in this Spring Fall bib tight is the same ultra-soft, breathable thermal fabric as the one used in the previous generation, and the storm-proof softshell panel at the crotch is back, too, to protect your core from wind chill and road spray. The antimicrobial seat pad has the same free-floating design and the same ventilation technologies as the summer bib shorts, but is now protected behind the breathable softshell panel. As a result, you can enjoy a garment with high breathability and without cold airflow, one that keeps you dry and warm exactly when you need it in cool weather.

Is this bib tight waterproof?
Not entirely. Apart from the flakFoil and crotch panels, waterproofing is limited. If you are expecting heavy rainfall during a ride, it’s best to bring an additional rain layer.
How thick is the chamois insert?
The seat pad is 9 mm thick; it has a single-layer racing design that minimises bulk and weight.
