The difference between "hot" wax and "drip" wax
Wax is a commonly used cycling lubricant. The most common waxes are "drip" waxes. In drip waxes, the wax is mixed with a liquid to make it easier to apply to your chain. The liquid will evaporate a few hours after application, and the wax will remain on your chain. The disadvantage of these drip waxes is that the wax will never entirely fill the crevices in your chain, due to the evaporation of the liquid.
