The Shimano HG-701 Ultegra & XT is an 11-speed chain from the Ultegra R8000 and XT M8000 range, and comes with a Quick Link. The chain is compatible with 11-speed road bike and mountain bike groupsets. With this chain, gear shifting is fast and smooth. The chain is easy to fit and uninstall with the included Quick Link.
Fast gear shifting
This Shimano HG-701 Ultegra & XT chain ensures super fast shifting performance. Its design has a dual focus: to make gear changing as fast as possible, and to reduce the chance of the chain jumping off. Shimano has also done its best to make the chain as quiet as possible while you're cycling.
Increased durability
The Sil-Tec coating on both the inner and outer links ensures a long service life and improved shifting performance. The inner link was specifically designed to improve contact with the cogs, making the chain shift better under strain without wearing out faster.
• To adjust the length of the chain, you need a chain breaker (chain rivet tool). These can be found here.
• To close the missing link, you need missing link pliers. These can be found here.
• A chain checker (chain wear indicator tool) allows you to see to which extent your chain is worn out, so you can replace it in due time. Chain checkers can be found here.
