RD-M9250 rear derailleur
The XTR M9250 rear derailleur is Shimano's first fully wireless derailleur. The battery is well concealed and covered inside the derailleur's body, where it is protected from impacts and weather conditions. The derailleur is made to withstand all possible impacts and has a special impact-deflecting shape that makes it quite flexible. After an impact, the derailleur automatically returns to its original position to continue the ride as if nothing has happened. As the jockey wheels are completely covered, nothing can get caught in them. The long cage is made for the 10-51 cassette and the medium cage is compatible with the 9-45 cassette.
Cassette
There are two versions of this derailleur. The long cage is compatible with the standard 10-51 tooth cassette, which was also used on the previous generation of drivetrains. The medium cage is only compatible with the 9-45 cassette.
Range
The battery in the derailleur lasts +/- 320 km before needing to be recharged.
