Shimano L05A-RF Resin disc brake pads are the successors to the Shimano L03A pads. They're more durable than their predecessors, while retaining the same braking force. These L05A brake pads are suitable for Shimano 105 R7020, Ultegra R8020, Dura Ace R9020, Ultegra R8120, Dura Ace R9200 calipers. The Shimano L05A disc brake pads with spring and pin have an aluminium backplate for improved heat dissipation. The cooling fins make a big difference in terms of keeping the temperatures lower during braking, compared to pads without cooling fins.
The Shimano L05A disc brake pads have been improved and deliver a significant difference in temperature reduction in combination with the Shimano RT-MT900 or RT-MT800. They're also suitable for use in combination with other Shimano Ice technology brake disc rotors. The braking power and modulation in combination with the Shimano Ultegra R8120 and Shimano Dura Ace R9200 are unprecedented. Brake modulation is much more precise with these Shimano L054 disc brake pads in combination with Servowave, and they'll perform better in case of emergency stops.
Popular brake pads, so sold out often
These Shimano L05A disc brake pads are very popular, and there's a high demand for them. That means they might be sold out, right when you need new ones to be able to keep cycling. That's why you can find other disc brake pads that also fit your brakes here.
Please note:
Manufacturers use different fits. Make sure the shape of the disc brake pad in the photo is the same as that of your current brake pad. Not sure which shape you have? Scroll to the bottom of this page, where we've described which brake pad is suitable for which brake type.

Organic compound
Organic brake pads are made of soft materials. That means these brake pads provide excellent dosage and braking power. Due to this soft compound, the pad also engages quickly. In addition, the organic compound ensures that these brake pads make little noise while braking. The disadvantage of organic brake pads is that they are less able to withstand higher temperatures, which can, for example, occur during long descents. This has already been improved by the pad's cooling fins, but the heat resistance is still less than that of brake pads with a harder, (semi-)metallic compound. Also, harder brake pads are still more hardwearing than organic disc brake pads.

Fine brake pads. Almost never squeak, less than other brands anyway. They last quite long in my case. The previous set lasted a year, which amounts to at least 5000 km. And they brake impeccably in all conditions.
Pros & Cons
Brakes well
Durable
Seldom squeaks
Still quite pricey
