CyclOn Pro Wax Melter

CyclOn's Pro Wax Melter has been developed for cyclists looking to get the most out of their drivetrain with a hot wax treatment. With this heater, you can easily melt your favourite hot wax and apply a protective layer to your bike chain that penetrates into the smallest parts of the links. As a result, the drivetrain is quieter and much smoother, and sheds water and dirt much more easily.

The spacious wax pot and the handy hanging system ensure you can always work in a controlled and tidy manner. Although the hot wax process takes some more effort than the application of traditional lubricants, it more than pays for itself - you will end up with a cleaner drivetrain that will last considerably longer.

Precise temperature control: The built-in thermostat can be easily adjusted from 35°C to 125°C so that you can melt the wax perfectly without it burning or losing its lubricating properties.

The melter is ready to use straight out of the box with CyclOn Pro Chain Hot Wax. It is also fully compatible with all other brands of hot wax for bike chains. The large pot can accommodate the great majority of road bike, mountain bike and e-bike chains.

Please note: The heater is designed exclusively for hot wax blocks or pellets. Do not use it with liquid chain lube or standard chain spray.

There’s very little assembly required for the CyclOn Pro Wax Melter itself, apart from plugging it in. Do make sure you use it on a safe, heat-resistant and flat surface. To be on the safe side, place a piece of cardboard or an old cloth under the melter to catch any wax splashes. Always stay close by when the heater is on.

• Make sure you start with a spotlessly clean chain by thoroughly degreasing and drying it. Even a brand-new chain needs to be cleaned thoroughly, as factory grease repels hot wax.
• Switch on the heater, set the correct temperature and wait until it has reached that temperature.
• Thread the included metal wire through the chain and submerge completely for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently move it back and forth in the liquid wax from time to time, so that all the openings in the links are properly filled.
• Remove the chain with the wire from the bath using an Allen key or similar tool. Hang it on the hanging system and leave to harden thoroughly for 30 to 45 minutes.
• Before mounting the chain on your bike, break the wax layer: Use a cloth to remove any excess wax, then gently wiggle the links by hand to make everything run smoothly as soon as you start pedalling again.
