Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Challenge Elite Pro is a fast all-rounder with reasonable puncture resistance.
- Thanks to the natural rubber compound, the tyre is very grippy on wet roads.
- The supple 220 TPI carcass offers great comfort and cornering grip.
- Thanks to Challenge's open tubular design, this tyre has the suppleness of a tubular model but the user-friendliness of a folding tyre.
- The tyre is tubeless-ready, which means you can use it with or without an inner tube.
- Due to its supple carcass and rubber compound, the Challenge Elite Pro is not the most durable tyre.

The Challenge Elite Pro Handmade TLR road bike tyre is a true all-round tyre with a good balance between rolling resistance, comfort, puncture protection and durability. Thanks to the incorporation of various technologies, such as the Smart compound and a puncture protection layer, as well as a precise production process, this tyre combines the comfort of a tubular tyre with the convenience of a tubeless tyre.
Handmade
The Elite Pro tyre has a 220 TPI SuperPolyester casing that makes it run smoothly. As the tyre is partly made and checked by hand, product deviations are highly unlikely. An extra layer of puncture protection is applied over the entire width of the tyre, so it won't go flat easily.
Natural rubber
Challenge has chosen to use natural rubber for the Elite Pro tyre, which makes it slightly less durable but offers plenty of grip, relatively low rolling resistance and, above all, great comfort. Thanks to the Smart compound, the tyre remains grippy even on fast descents and in sharp turns. Plus, the tyre is slightly pre-formed for easier mounting.
