The Schwalbe Racing Ray has been designed to be used as a front tyre with the Racing Ralph as a rear tyre.
Addix Speed
The Addix Speed rubber compound can be recognised by the red stripe across the tyre. As this compound for cross-country racers has very low rolling resistance, it will make its rider fly over the trails. And for a tyre with such low rolling resistance, the Addix Speed is very robust and durable.
Super Race
The all-new Super Race carcass is all about one thing, and that's speed. This carcass is the ultimate competition construction for cross-country racers. It goes without saying that it offers unbeatable control and very low rolling resistance, and it also has a RaceGuard puncture protection layer underneath the tread to prevent punctures without adding weight or sacrificing agility. Tubeless Easy
Schwalbe are firmly convinced that tubeless riding is the tyre technology of the future. And so they ensure that all mountain bike tyres bearing the TLE mark are optimized for riding without tubes. The construction of the carcass also makes the fitting process easier.

Basically a fine band, I'm just a bit unlucky.
Specification-wise, it is fine tyre and does function properly. It is just a pity that there is a slight manufacturing defect in the tyre. When you are cycling and you look at your tyre, it looks like you have a blow in your wheel. This is irritating, but otherwise the tyre is adequate.

Excellent all-rounder
Tested after assembly on the MTB circuit grenspark Kalmthout. Took different surfaces with great confidence, sandy climbs, mud, bowl turns, gravel, the further into the ride, the more eager I was to take them. My old tyres were perhaps very far gone, the Racing brothers, Ralph & Ray, delivered a marked improvement in grip and control.

Only drove a few 100km so far but very satisfied. Tip: don't put it on too high pressure, then grip is suddenly much harder to find. Much more noticeable than with 4 other MTB front tyres I tried of different brands.

Great tire for Dutch laps
The Racing Ray is a light, fast-rolling tire. A bit unstable in loose sand at times. The width is not quite right. Should be 60mm but is only 56mm on a rim with 30mm internal width.

The tire for worse conditions in the Netherlands
This is a super tire for worse conditions as it gives enough grip and more confidence in turns and you do not sacrifice speed. Tubeless mounting for the first time was done within 5 minutes. Highly recommended. Against expectations, the skinwall looks pretty cool.
