The SONIQ ALX C23 wheelset is Fulcrum's number one aluminium wheelset, combining advanced technologies with a robust design for reliable performance on paved and unpaved roads. With a wide inner rim size and a medium profile height, it ensures excellent stability and control. The closed rim bed makes using a tubeless setup extremely easy, resulting in most efficient power transfer on every ride.

The combination of 6082 aluminium with a special T-6 treatment ensures high strength and stiffness. A notable feature is the undrilled rim bed, known as the MoMag construction. This closed structure eliminates the need for tubeless rim tape when fitting tyres, ensuring a more secure and easier airtight fit. The rims have a height of 33 mm and a modern inner width of 23 mm; this wide construction optimally supports tyres and creates a nice round tyre shape, directly resulting in high grip and stability on varied surfaces.

Spoke pattern
Besides the strong rims, Fulcrum has paid much attention to the finish and the spokes. CNC Square Milling machining is applied to the upper surface of the rim, combined with a sandblasted finish and lasered graphics with chrome details. Each wheel is constructed with 24 flat stainless steel spokes. These aerodynamic straight-pull spokes are installed using the 2:1 (Two-to-One) pattern, which optimises power transfer and lateral stiffness. Aluminium hubs with sealed industrial bearings and adjustable preload guarantee lasting smooth rotation. Self-locking aluminium nipples keep the assembly securely tightened.

Mounting and compatibility
With a total weight of 1745 grams, this 28-inch wheelset offers reliable durability and high versatility. The 23 mm inner rim width is compatible with tyre widths ranging from 25 to even 69 mm! For mounting, the front wheel uses a standard 12x100 mm thru-axle and the rear wheel a 12x142 mm one. As the hubs are compatible with N3W, HG, MS12 and XDR freehubs, the wheels go with almost any drivetrain with a 120 kg maximum weight limit.
