Just like a car needs an annual technical inspection, your bike needs maintenance. With proper maintenance, your bike parts remain in good condition, which may help to prevent wear. In addition, in some situations it is important that you can prove that you have had your bike serviced regularly so that the warranty remains valid. The manufacturer's warranty may become void if a defect is caused by insufficient or incorrect maintenance.

We recommend having your bike serviced within the first six months or after 500 km. Cycling causes the parts of your bike to move. Think of spokes, bolts and nuts that can come undone from vibrating. If you wait too long, this may cause more serious problems. A loose spoke, for example, can cause your wheel to bend.

After this first service appointment, our advice is to have your bike serviced once a year, or to maintain your bike properly yourself. For a service or maintenance appointment, go to Mantel or a local bike repair shop. Make sure you keep the invoice for the warranty on your bike.
