Reviews over the
Shimano 105 WH-RS300
4 / 5
Price/quality a good product.
Look decent wheels, similar to my previous wheels and they lasted 9 years.
Pros & Cons

Heavily clunky somewhat solid
I have ridden the wheels twice now. First time I immediately noticed that the wheel has a very quiet rattle, as well as feeling very heavy and having a wide rim. This gave me the idea of riding more hybrid bike wheels than real racing wheels. Also, the wheels had a small stroke. This did not excite me the first time. The second time I got a little more used to the weight and the quiet ratchet. Because of the many spokes, the wheel also does feel stable. Well, for this money you can't complain much. 2nd hand you have to wait and see how the bearings are maintained and new it doesn't get much else like this for the money. Heavy, clunky, no course vibe, but hope they keep rolling nicely and bring my old bike without disc brakes forward a few years

First rides are very promising. Had to serve as spare wheels. But stay nicely in the bike now.

Excellent value on reliable product.
Shimano "no fuss" reliable performance, for the price on Mantel it was a no brainer as a winter training wheel.

Nice Budget for a very good Product
At first I was skeptical because of the plastic casing of the hub. But the first ride has thrilled me: very stable, no crunches and cracks, the spokes are tight, as they should be. The rear wheel is very sprinty and transmits the power perfectly. Conclusion: more than just a cheap replacement that does not need to shy away from the comparison to my 15 year old Bontrager wheels – Very good value for low cost!

Poor build quality
Bought as a commuting wheelset. Bearings do not run as smoothly as more expensive wheels but this is to be expected. After just a few weeks, I had to have the spokes tightened because they came loose and started making noise. All in all, a mediocre wheelset. I expected more from a brand like Shimano!

Better than I thought
Shimano is a guarantee. I got this wheel as a replacement for the original rim cracked due to fatigue. Aesthetically it is similar to its predecessor though technically inferior, but since it is the bike-muletto, it is just fine. At first glance it still looks equipped as in original.

Do not buy
I now have the wheels from August, according to the description the wheels are well sealed but after several rides in the wet, the entire hub and freehub flooded. Meanwhile, the freehub is broken and needs to be replaced.

Reliability
I had the old rs11 model, almost identical, with the same number of spokes, flat, rim profile a few millimetres narrower and less profile, which lasted me many years and kilometres until it cracked due to fatigue, with so much abuse on bumpy roads. In several tens of thousands of kilometres it never went off-centre. I did not hesitate to buy this SHIMANO model, which is an improved version. If you don't mind the weight, or if it's for training, don't hesitate.
