Great fitting MTB or gravel shoes
I use them for graveling. Lovely shoes, even for the slightly wider foot. They are stiff, but not too. The boa works well, turn for tighter, press the button for a touch looser and the button up for taking the shoes off. I am very happy with it. The only downside are the plastic points on the Front of the tread which makes walking a bit tricky.

Lots of shoe for your money!
Have worn them twice now, like a glove. I use these mtb shoes for my cycling bike because I like to stand firmly on my feet when dismounting (especially at the bike cafe). I also don't find Nortwave's more expensive models any nicer or better than these.

During the ride adjustable nice solid cycling shoes with a good grip for walking
Nice cycling shoes with still enough grip for walking. Easy system to fasten and unfasten the shoes. The only? brand that can adjust the tightness of the shoe. Never too tight shoes!

Fine comfortable shoe for wide feet
I had ordered size 44 based on the size chart, but turned out to need 43. I have wide feet so many shoes are too tight.

Now cycled several times on gravel bike with them on solid tour. Fit fine/close well. The shoe closure is comfortable.

Good product - this is entry-level, can imagine a discerning MTB rider will want a more expensive model
Was looking for new MTB shoes, after years of using Specialized footwear. Whereas the latter were sometimes a bit too airy during use, the new ones are tighter yet breathable. Pleasant to use, especially with new SPD plates underneath. Easy to adjust, no minus points yet.

Top shoes.
Fit like a glove and nice hard sole. Less sore feet because of that sole. Top product.

excellent price-quality ratio
My old shoes broke down 1 day before a long weekend of mountain biking in Luxembourg. So quick trip to Mantel and no desire to spend money. I came home with these shoes. After the Luxembourg weekend, I can say: these shoes are so much better than my old Sidi's! More comfortable, cooler, cooler, easier to clean and much more grip. Even unclipped you don't slide off the pedals.

Solid
Good fit and due to the buckle very good power transmission. I immediately noticed the difference in power transmission compared to my old shoes which makes cycling more comfortable.

Beautiful fine shoe
I am satisfied with the shoes, they are comfortable and can be easily tightened or loosened by the rotary knob. Because of the material they are made of Made, dirt is easy to wipe off with a wet sponge. I am satisfied. Do order one size bigger.

Not suitable as an MTB shoe.
Nice shoe that cycles fine but closure of Northwave shoes does not withstand a fall. Therefore, in my opinion, not suitable as a MTB shoe. The shoe has reasonable padding and is therefore comfortable. However, the shoe is small in size, so me and a mate wearing the same shoe both suffered from a pressure point at our little toe. However, the construction of the buckle cannot withstand a fall. Because the axis of the dial is fixed in the shoe, it breaks off on impact. This is not repairable because Northwave does not refurbish the part of the closure that is inside the shoe. As a result, a 2-month-old pair of shoes could be thrown in the bin. The BOA system does not suffer from this problem.

Great shoe.
Already owned the winter shoe of this same brand. A nice addition for the summer season.

Very fine shoe with more pluses than minuses
Very nice shoes. I use them for MTB and gravel. There is enough profile on the bottom and it fits perfectly (although that is personal). I chose the size following Mantel's size chart, and it turned out to be exactly right. I did notice that the cleats loosen quickly. I had to retighten them up to three times after a ride. Perhaps they were not tight enough each time? Hopefully it is a novelty thingy. Also, there are ventilation holes on the outside of the shoe that easily collect dirt. But I guess that's inevitable when riding in mud. Not really a downside, but it did catch my eye. Also a pity that it does not have the original BOA buckle on it, but one of the own brand. That one works very well too, by the way, just a bit different from BOA. All in all, a very nice shoe that feels good quality: firm and stiff sole, nice fit, seams nicely finished, water-repellent fabric. And at a reasonable price.

Sturdy shoe!
Shoe has a good fit. The Mantel decision aid helped with this, good system. Had to get used to opening the X-Dial SLW3 closure though.

Just a fine, beautiful shoe. If you have the right size. Luckily, Mantel has the option to specify your foot length!

Comfortable shoe
The shoes may not look very fast but they are very comfortable and still stiff enough. I have done all 80 and 90 km rides on them with the MTB and they completely live up to expectations.

Good fit and fine closure
Shoe fits very well, had a size smaller at first but was able to exchange them at Mantel without any trouble. Even after a long ride, they still fit perfectly.

Pretty decent cycling shoe
Fine closure, solid MTB shoes that also do fine on a racer with spd.
